ROCKSTAR WRESTLING 2012
Good news! Fire was chosen for Rockstar Wrestling project on Television by DL Productions in Chicago that scheduled for launching on the second quarter of 2012.
This project is between the ones that doesn't has problem about where LunariaN is based, which most of the previous offers ended up in failure because location matter. Other info will be updated here conditionally.

SHOW REPORT: WE ARE SALE #11
Venue: HeyFolks! Shop
Date & time: Sunday, October 02, 2011
Consecutively, we arrived at the venue around 12:00 PM. Cool venue, in my opinion - small stage with closely distanced apparel sellers around it, feels intimate. The show was delayed 1 hour than planned so we're using the spare time to look around and buy some stuffs - Hey, I got jacket! A cheap one! Lol.
02:00 PM, stage time. Overall it was a comforting performance, though the stage was small, it didn't prevent me to move as usual... Okay, it did, but still, it was a nice performance. However actually it could be better if Anink's amplifier wasn't so annoyingly turned off & on automatically. Clearly the problem was not on his instrument because we've done an appropriate check before.
4 songs brought up nice & sweaty, the audience slowly gave more & more attention, especially on the third song (Bodysnatchers by Radiohead) and the fourth, Xenophobia. Annnddd ended satisfying! Seriously, not often Willy said a nice compliment to our own performance, Lol, it seemed he's very enjoying as we all did.
Thank you Hey Folks! See you again next time :)

SHOW REPORT: BYNAMIC FEST 2011
Venue: Binus International School Serpong, BSD-ID
Date & Time: Saturday, September 17, 2011
It's a big event, it was, at least for a high-school. 2 stages, bazaar everywhere, tons of sponsors.
We arrived around 12:00 AM and directly pointed to the waiting room by our LO. Our schedule was 13:05 PM but postponed to 13:45 due to belated attendance of Tangerang's major to open the event. The soundcheck we did the previous night proven to be useful, we can say we have our preparation.
Performance time. The stage was HUGE! The sound was LOUD! Too bad the audience was not too appreciative, or maybe it's because they're just don't know the songs yet. Apparently it happened to the guest stars too. Due to duration limit, we could only play 2 songs. But for ourselves, despite of the duration, the performance was great & sweaty.
Hopefully we'll play again there some other times. See you Binus.

SHOW REPORT: SPARE 7 FKM-UI
Venue: GOR Bulungan, Blok M
Date & Time: Saturday, July 23, 2011
First, we thought the venue will be an outdoor one so each of us have set our equipment extent to fit outdoor area, but guess we have to be more conscientious next time. The indoor venue which exactly was a Sport Building has the tendency to make the sound furling and, it happened *sigh*.
We arrived about 05:00 PM, the schedule for us was 05:30 but changed to 06:30. Not a problem though, the EO team, which was the students of Society Health Faculty from University of Indonesia, handle us quite well. The LO gave us all the info we need including the schedule changing so we could prepare more.
The performance was a BLAST ! Although the audience was not too many and the sound was not too clear -furling, as I previously said-, I can tell you they were appreciative. 4 songs performed incinerating ! Stockholm Syndrome (MUSE), Fire, Bodysnatchers (Radiohead) and Xenophobia burned the building ! Err.. Can I say that was not too affluent ? LOL. But we did feel good doing performance there -hell the stage was so high-.
Unfortunately, the camera we brought had a problem right at the first song so we can only post some photos here.
Thank you SPARE 7 committee, hope to see you guys again soon :)

SHOW REPORT: BRIT ACOUSTIC NIGHT
Venue: Kopi Merah Cafe, Cipete
Date & Time: Saturday, July 09, 2011
Like what the title said, it's British time ! Err.. Okay it was not really British, there were songs by Scottish bands too. Each band has to cover a few songs performed originally by a particular band from those two area. And LunariaN were covering MUSE's songs.
We arrived consecutively until 09:00 PM. The first band covers Radiohead, the second covers various British bands, the third covers Cranberries, the fourth covers Morissey and the fifth was us !
Although we waited for at least 3 hours before performing, we had a really fun time. The venue was comfortable -really acoustically designed- and chummy, the audience was quite enthusiast. 3 MUSE's songs and 2 LunariaN's songs brought up greatly ! Not to mention that the other bands were also great ! Glad to share the same stage with them.
Thanks to Raya Billy and @MusicAccoustic for the helping hands !

SAD NEWS FOR PLANETROX
The deal is, we didn't make it to PlanetRox final.
The last position before announcement was we're on the third position on voting, around 2,200 votes. The first position was around 2,700 and the second was 2,500. As previously mentioned, 5 bands with highest votes will be taken to final, but we were not among them.
Yes you're free to choose what to think.
All in all, the decision has made. We don't stop here, as far as the future goes, so does our musical journey.
HAIL LUNARIAN !

A COMMENT FROM FRANKFURT
Not usual I got flattered with a comment to our music. We received many of them, (thank God) most of them are good. I got few that seems made whole-hearted and this is the one we just recently get via message in Reverbnation, a comment from Undermain Projekt, an electronic musician (a very good one, you can check him out for yourself) from Frankfurt, German:

"Seriously Guys, I love what you're doing. Willy Clayton's precis says it far better than I ever could. There is an originality in your sound, one that only the great classic "rock" bands ever reached. I can hear the influences - but only because you speak of them yourselves in your bio - would I have mentiond baroque if you hadn't. Perhaps not, but, yes, it is there! Indeed it is. This is not glam rock, but real rock, in the Pink Floyd, Led Zep, Black Sabbath etc tradition. Not only, but and electro too. Klasse! Get out there and become famous, because if you don't, that will be a sad day for the planet.... Cheers to you all, Tim."
This kind of comment is one big factor that made us go this far and will go further, not trying being sentimentil, you lot who also are musician does feel the same, right ?
May GOD be with us.

SHOW REPORT: TERASKOTA MOVIE SOUNDTRACK FESTIVAL (FINAL)
Venue: Teraskota BSD, Tangerang
Date & Time: Saturday, May 29th 2011
Yep it's the final session of the competition previously posted.
We arrived at the venue around 06:00 PM, the crew still preparing the stage. Show started around 08:00 PM with fashion-show look-alike by Heavy-L community (describe it as it is) and solo-singing performance by their members. Then first short film detoured, titled Dunia Sempit (Small World). It's a good one ! Tells about a big-fat woman in her search of confidence, an inspiring one, I must tell you. Then opening band took the stage followed by the first band competitor, the second, then the second short film detoured. While the movie rolls, we took our chance to get our tools prepared on stage.
After the film and discussion with the director finished, we started playing. It's a blast ! We were really enjoying our performance. 2 songs brought up nicely and I feel comfortable on stage although I messed up with the lyrics a bit lol. The audience clap their hands vivaciously although there were not many of them since it was already 10:30 PM.
We didn't make it to be the champion, only the 2nd place. Disappointed yes, angels knows who deserves it (and I mean it, I wish you came and watched all the bands your self). But all in all, I feel satisfied with our performance since it's the first time we use a MIDI controller on stage and we managed not to made big mistake on the playing (it will getting better) and the video taping was a success ! The tripod we use were really helpful.
Thank you to Berisik Radio as the event organizer for the great assistant. See you again soon !

SHOW REPORT: TERASKOTA MOVIE SOUNDTRACK FESTIVAL
Venue: Teraskota BSD, Tangerang
Date & Time: Saturday, May 21st 2011
It's a band & indie movie competition, held by Teraskota which happens to be the venue owner and managed by Berisik Radio. The bands has to play 2 songs, one movie soundtrack and one any other song they like. The movies detour done in the middle of the show, 2 films, which I say too few for a show with such title. The show started around 8 PM, 1 hour-late from the plan. No bands knew when they will be playing, "secret" rundown, Amir of Berisik Radio said lol.
The journey to the venue was good, no traffic jam. We arrived around 6 PM, then having a little chit-chat with Amir, doing a not-so-comforting sound check regarding to the not-so-cooperative sound engineer, these kind of engineers in a band competition, they'll go "Serve the best to the famous" and as you might guess, fame is a factor that impede a band joining a competition at a particular level, so apparently these engineers will have no concern to a competing band's needs.
To the main topic. We got second turn to perform, which around 08:30 PM. We play 15 Step (Twilight OST) (hey come on ! The song is good) and Xenophobia. There was no stage, the venue was more like a big circle bowl with the audience sitting around the edge, so I could go here and there with no problem except the inadequate cable length. The sound system's not too good, result of a "shut-up-I-know-the-best" sound engineer I guess. But all in all, we play well and took very good response from the audience. Unfortunately, the video taken was not proper enough to watch, bad audio & video-movement.
The indie movie session started after the third band. Both films are nice, it's always exciting to watch a film on a big screen in an outdoor venue. Then the MC led open discussion with the directors and then goin to last session of bands' performance and finally goin into the announcement of the bands who made it to the final, including LunariaN. Yup, we'll have our performance again next week at the same place.
See you again at TerasKota !

FIRE NOMINATED AS "SONG OF THE WEEK" IN MUSIC SCENE INVESTIGATION
Last night I receive an e-mail about Fire was picked-up for review and nominated as Song of the Week by Music Scene Investigation. I'm not sure where the studio based at, if I give my attention to the podcast host's voice, it's possibly somewhere in USA.
Anyway, according to the website, MSI is a live broadcast & podcast, where the team, consist of industry experts (musicians, engineers, producers etc) investigate and analyze three random songs submitted by bands. After that, the song will have to pass through the appropriateness process. If selected, for an hour, they'll talk about and debate the music chosen, hopefully, by the end of the show they are able to all agree on a “Song of the Week”, which is featured on the website. I can tell you, the review is honest, if they dislike it, they'll say so. The best part for me is, they investigate in detail and the critics are constructiive.
This week, the songs are Attention by Galactaron, Fire by LunariaN and Point To Prove by Anton Chillington. And the reviewers are Tom Chianti (New York, US), Ian Husbands (London, UK) and Sam Kelly (London, UK).
After some chit-chat and reviewing the first song, they came up to Fire by LunariaN. For spoiler, I'll try to make summary of how's the review.
01. By Tom Chianti
Mix side: He really concerned about the mix (he's been an engineer for 25 years) and thrown many critics about it. He said it's too loud, the vocal is really below the level it should be, the drums were too upfront, to name a few.
Music side: He didn't felt he get what the music is about. Too many things happened. The vocal is actually good. He mentioned he caught british-invasion feeling and a very british-rock flow but overall there was too much mix at it while it's a miss-match.
02. By Ian Husbands
Mix side: Quite similar with Tom, he didn't felt really into the mix. The vocal could've been louder. The track needs to be remixed.
Music side: He liked it. It has the dynamics and movement. "maybe sounds a bit too clever for me", maybe it has to stop a while, giving people time to understand what's going on. It's a genre he just listened only 4 or 5 years ago. Only he thought it could've been "less clever". Overall he liked it.
03. By Sam Kelly
Mix side: Bad. The opinion he gave quite similar with both reviewer before. The mix was worn out. Conclusion is the track needs to be remixed.
Music side: Great. The arrangement was very clever, probably "too clever" -again-. Caught his attention from the start, he thought the song would be a perfect fit to put as a single. Very well done. The guitars & drums sounds awesome. Nice & shiny atmosphere.
Can I say the track is controversial on the arrangement side ??
In the end, we didn't get enough vote to be chosen as the Song of the Week though, but it's okay. Whatever their opinion, I do feel honored to be included and put in the nomination. Beside getting more news to spread (yeah, that's what being exist is all about eh ?), I got good inputs for Fire, hell maybe I could apply them to some of our other songs. And hey, not everyday you can get a review by experts freely in a 1-hour podcast.
Thank you very much MSI, hopefully Fire was only the first track from us.

Pop pastiche; Jakarta style! LunariaN take you through a mind-bending exploration of their own brand of power-pop on 'Fire'. Also injecting musical slabs of proto-emo and prog rock, this is five minutes of furious, colourful pop music.

SHOW REPORT: SKETSA 22nd CELEBRATION PARTY
Venue: Tarumanagara University, Grogol, West Jakarta
Date & Time: Friday, April 29th 2011
I must admit I almost came up late to the venue. Never thought the job test I took on the same day would last that long, approximately 7 hours ! And it's quite a distance between the two places, thanks to the Jakarta traffic jam, the journey to the venue with Ekky was definitely an anger management test.
After 1.5 hour of speeding-breaking, I arrived at Tarumanagara, 05:20 PM. The show start schedule actually was 04:00 PM, and was 04:55 PM for LunariaN, but the weather seems to pushed the show to be started an hour late. When me & Ekky arrived, the band scheduled right before us just have their first song on the stage. So I didn't waste my time and started to put my stage clothes on.. Oh, after begging for forgiveness to Willy & Anink, of course.
Tarumanagara has great audience ! The sound system wasn't too good but the crowd make all the things felt much better. They have great appreciation. 3 songs we brought draw good attention. Did some mistakes but all is well. And I really got to rest more, my vocal quality is decreasing. After taking some dinner provided and did some evaluation, we went home.
See you again soon Tarumanagara.
